HM Torpedo Boat 88,89,90, built by Yarrow & Company 1894/5, 112 tons TB88,89, 100 tons TB90, Armed with 3 x 3 pounder guns and 3 x 14 inch torpedos. All served at Gibralter 1914-1918, TB88,89 sold 1919, TB90 capsized off Gibralter 25th April 1918. 17 lives were lost. Dittmar & Colledge British Warships 1914-1919. |

Initiated into Union of Malta Lodge No. 407 in 1901. He is listed as a 29 year old Gunner of the Royal Navy and serving aboard H.M.S. Pioneer. It is uncertain what status he left this lodge under. He is next seen to join St. Aubyn Lodge No. 954 10th October, 1905 whilst living at 12 Alcester Street, Devonport and employed as a 32 year old Warrant Officer. He resigned this lodge in December of the following year (Resd Dec/06." He pops up again five years later when he joined Royal Naval Lodge 6th December, 1911. At this lodge he was recorded as a 36 year old Warrant Officer and resident at the Royal Naval Barracks, Devonport. The contribution record shows that he "Died 1.4.1918." He had been for some time Director of Ceremonies of the Lodge.
