WWI 13/760 - WWI 11/760A Lieutenant William Joseph Hollis, 3rd Battalion Reinforcements, Wellington Mounted Rifles, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Formerly a Sergeant-Major in the Auckland Mounted Rifles. Died from Influenza following Armsistice.
Twice Mentioned in Despatches - London Gazette, 6th July 1917, p6774.
He is commemorated on the New Zealand War Graves Project and also the Auckland Museum Online Cenotaph.
