George Richard Hunt was initiated at the age of 31 into the Light in Adjoodhia Lodge No. 836 in Fyzabad on 26 April 1912 whilst serving as a Sergeant in the East Yorks Regt and stationed there. He later joined Sarju Lodge No. 3061, also in Fyzabad, on 8th February 1913.
