10/2498 1st Battlion Wellington Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Killed in action, near Flers 16th September, 1916.
Enlisted 14th August, 1915 and joined the battalion at Mudros, and reverted to the ranks, 30 September 1915.
Promoted Corporal, 1 October 1915.
Disembarked Alexandria, 29 December 1915 (general Gallipoli evacuation).
Embarked Egypt for France, 6 April 1916.
Granted temporary rank of Sergeant, 29 May 1916; made substantive 10th July, 1916.
