Having checked the register of the Premier Diamond Lodge of Transvaal, it has not been possible to find "Frederick H McDowell. However, reviewing their register a "John McDowall" was listed with war service and as being "killed in Action Flanders, recorded in the 1919 column (1918 blank). A new record will be created for John McDowall, leaving Frederick open for further investigation.
