He is listed as a 44 year old Warant Officer, resident at Devonport at the time of initiation, late in the war, 1918. He may not have had the opportunity to elevate beyond that of Entered Apprentice, and a year later, the contribution record shows "Died 26th Sept 1919," this being exactly a year out from the official record meaning he died 5 days after his initiation.
