Chief Engineer Arthur Leslie Rowe, SS Bagdale. Drowned, as a result of any attack by an enemy submarine, 1st May, 1917.
The British steamer Bagdale was torpedoed and sunk by UC-66, 13 miles NxE1/2E of Creach Point, Ushant (Ouessant). She was on passage Clyde for Naples. Twenty-three lives were lost.
