Robert Henry Sawyer (1890-1918), born 1 July 1890 in Nassau, Bahamas, British West Indies, son of R.W. Sawyer, Nassau, Bahamas. Husband of Georgina Sawyer (nee Simpson) of 4 Maple Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, later of Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. Had two sons, Robert William Sawyer (1912-1944) and John Patrick Anthony Sawyer (1917-1941).Education & Career :
Educated at the Nassau School, Bahamas and Sherborne School (Abbey House) September 1906-July 1908.
Occupation: Steamship agent in Toronto, Ontario.

Natural causes is attributed those deaths due to causes that were not directly associated with the war. Included in this are wartime deaths resulting from, for example, theSpanish Influenza pandemic and its associated pneumonia problems and other attributions such as age and exhaustion. It also groups those who through Post Traumatic Stress committed suicide as a result of their experiences.

Commemorated in the Sherborne School, UK, Book of Remembrance for former pupils who died in the First World War, 1914-1918 and also on its "War Memorial Staircase"; Abbey House Roll of Honour. Also commemorated on the Canadian Great War Project.
