Early Life :
He was born at Trichinopoly, Madras on 24 July 1875Family :
Elder son of Henry Sewell (Indian Civil Service), Madras Presidency; husband of Amy G. Sewell, of 14, Park Mansions, Bath. Born at Trichinopoly, Southern India.He married Miss Amy Nedham in 1916.
Education & Career :
He entered College from Saugeen School, Bournemouth. He was Prefect of Library in his last year, played in College XV, won the Duncan Prize for Historical Essay and was elected to a Classical Scholarship at New College, Oxford.
He gained his degree with Second Class Honours in Mathematics and Classics.

Natural causes is attributed those deaths due to causes that were not directly associated with the war. Included in this are wartime deaths resulting from, for example, theSpanish Influenza pandemic and its associated pneumonia problems and other attributions such as age and exhaustion. It also groups those who through Post Traumatic Stress committed suicide as a result of their experiences.
In 1902 he was promoted to Lieutenant, eventually reaching the rank of Major. At the outbreak of war he was stationed in the garrison at Gibraltar.
His unit was a 12 inch railway howitzer battery of two guns, and they went out to France on 22nd January 1918.
He died at Neuville-St-Vaast on 4th June 1918 aged 42.
His cause of death is unknown but sources suggest that he died of illness or disease and not from a combat related event.
