Written on the grave of his mother, Catherine at Grove Road Cemetery, Harrogate: "Alfred Morris Briglin - 4th Officer P.S.S. Franz Ferdinand - who died of heatstroke - July 25th 1916 - Aged 45 Years. Interred at Basra, Persia"
