Early Life :
Born at New Plymouth, 1884. His gravestone indicates that he was married twice. Firstly to Ruby Orbell who died 10th September, 1930, aged 31 and secondly Bertha Jane Carter who died 14th November, 1957.Education & Career :

Although many perished in times of national conflict and in the service of their country, many more survived including those interned as Prisoners of War. His service is commemorated at the Auckland Museum Online Cenotaph.
