Early Life :
Son of James Wilson and Marion Wilson.His wife, Ethel Jane passed away on the 27th February, 1945 when they were resident at 37 Cranston street, Anderson's Bay.

3/636 Sergeant Peter Archibald Wilson, New Zealand Medical Corps.
He embarked to Alexandria and spent 1915-1916 on operations at Alexandria and Salonika. By mid-1917 he had posts at both 17th and 41st Casualty Clearing Stations. Later in the same year, he was awarded a certificate of meritorious & efficient service by the General Officer Commanding, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, promoted to Lance Corporal on the same day - 19th December, 1917.
He was discharged from military service on the 21st August, 1919 after 4 years and 65 days.
Whilst resident of the Leviathan Hote, Peter died 26th November, 1964, aged 76 years at the Public Hospital. He was cremated and his ashes scattered.
His service is commemorated at the Auckland Museum Online Cenotaph.

He is recorded as a Grocer from Port Chalmers at the time of his initiation in 1912.War service recorded for 1916-18 after which Peter continues paying his dues until at least 1921.
