1932 Constance Eleanor Martin
Served with the New Zealand Home Guard, Devonport Battalion during the Second World War. Son of Helen Elizabeth and Sydney Reade Quartley, married Katherine Alice Charlewood in 1907, they had a son and daughter Sydney Lamont and Margaret Helen. He married Constance Eleanor Martin 1932, they had two daughters Annette Frances and Elizabeth.
Daughter Elizabeth Fines Irvine, published a biography of her father called 'Q'

Although many perished in times of national conflict and in the service of their country, many more survived including those interned as Prisoners of War.
