Early Life :
Hugh Cresswell Grierson (1886-1953) was practising as an architect prior to World War I. He served in the New Zealand Army as a Sergent and remained overseas to continue his studies at the Architectural Association in London. He became an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects. He returned to New Zealand and went into partnership with Kenneth Walter Aimer .Design the Auckland War Memorial Museum.Established a family farm at Honikiwi Otorhanga NZ during the great depression due to the down tuen in the construction and building indusrty . The majority of this landholding past to his son Peter Creswell Guinness.Cremated : Purewa Crematorium Intered Block A Row32 082
