His medals include The Queen’s South Africa Medal (1899-1902) for the Boer War; The 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, and The Victory Medal (1914-1918) for service in World War I; and the New Zealand War Medal and New Zealand Service Medal (1939-1945) for service in World War II. He was also in receipt of The Gallipoli Commemorative Medal.

His service is commemorated on the Auckland Museum Online Cenotaph.
