Early Life :
Son of Charlotte Seymour Stephenson (now Mrs. Sclater), of 10, Sloane Court, Chelsea, London, and the late Percy Stephenson.His familial brother Eric Seymour Stephenson is also included on this role.

He played cricket for the Eton Ramblers. He was a member of the Rupert Society at Magdalen (a debating society extent from December 1897 to 1910) . Member of OUDS.

2nd Lieutenant, Cyril Seymour Stephenson, 9th (Queen's Royal) Lancers attached Royal North Somerset Yeomanry. Died 6th December, 1916.
He is recorded as landing in France on the 10th June, 1915.
Wisden - Obituaries during the war, 1914-1916 "STEPHENSON, LIEUT. CYRIL EDWARD SEYMOUR (North Somerset Yeomanry), born at Colorado Springs, November 26, 1880; died of wounds, December 6, 1916. In neither XI while at Eton and Magdalen College (Ox.) Played for New York v. Gentlemen of Ireland in 1909. Highest score 102 for Fort Washington v. S.S. Lusitania in 1909, when he and J. H. Gordon (108) made 198 for the first wicket. A stylish bat."
For his service in the Great War he was entitled to the 1915 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
Buried St. Alban's Churchyard, Wealden East Sussex In North-East Corner of old Ground. He is also commemorated at the Oxford and Cambridge Club.
