Early Life :
Brandon was born in Wellington, NZ on 26 March 1875.Family :
Brandon married Clara H Richards on 26 March 1909.Education & Career :
He served as a civil servant with the NZ Legislative Dept. He would also work as a Hansard Supervisor. After his military service he became a bank employee before semi-retiring as a farmer in Pohangina District.

Did not die in the war. Died of Natural causes through Old Age.
He became Adjutant to the 2nd Regt, Wellington Mounted Rifles in 1908. Promoted Captain 1909 and in 1910 posted as a Staff Officer to the Douliou Rifle Association.
He served in the Great War with the 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles before returning to the pay side as a Field Cashier. He saw service in Egypt.
He was wounded in 1915 at Gallipoli, having been shot in the thigh. Recovering he went to the Western Front, being promoted Major and serving at Divisional HQ.
He went on to be awarded the NZ Long & Efficient Service Medal and the Territorial Service Medal in 1924, the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal and the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers Decoration in 1925.
He became President of the South African War Veterans Association in 1926.
He returned to the colours as a Temp Cast in the NZ Home Guard in the Second World War, as OC B Coy of the Wellington Bttn.
