Action : Naval Campaign |
Naval Campaign is defined as to include all sea operations where attrition rates are in ones and twos and which do not fall within specific naval battles such as Jutland, Coronel, Falklands etc. This includes Merchant Navy losses.
Detail :
"Polesley" was torpedoed and sunk by UB 88. I suspect the time issue comes from the source. British sources have the sinking on the 21st. German sources, based ultimately upon the submarine's war diary, give the sinking on the 22nd. And German time was an hour ahead of British time.
