The registers of the United Grand Lodge of England for the In Arduis Fidelis Lodge show that Albert was initiated in 1911 and was resident at 8 Vineyard Walk, E.C. He is recorded "Army", so must be a professional soldier. The Lodge name betrays that he is, perhaps, Royal Army Medical Corps, but as yet no further detail.
