Born at Heston, Middlesex, son of William Temple and Sarah Anne Cooper. Baptised at Hounslow Holy Trinity on 15th August 1869. Married Edith Annie (nee Barber) 1906.Education & Career :

Detail :
In the records of St. Botolph's Lodge at the United Grand Lodge of England it states "Killed in Action 1918", with dues being paid up to 1918. Further investigation shows that Arthur was a member of other Lodges as joining member. It would appear that, the surgeon Arthur Tanner Cooper who survived until 1938, where probate shows date of death as 24th May 1938.
He dissolved the Surgeons and General Medical Practice business partnership at 63 Highfield Street, Leicester with Alfred Thomas Coleman on 3rd October 1923.
Obituary - British Medical Journal: 4th June 1938 "Dr. ARTHUR TANNER COOPER died of pneumonia on MAY 24 at his home in Leicester, where he had practised for the last twenty years. Born at Heston, Middlesex, on May 23 1869, he was educated privately and at University College, London, qualifying M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. in 1892. He then served as House-physician to the National Hospital for Women in Soho Square and to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and during the war he held a temporary commission as Captain R.A.M.C. Dr. Cooper joined the British Medical Association in 1909, and since the war had been a member of the Leicester and Rutland Division."

Joined Lewis Lodge No. 1185 on 18th January 1902 at Wood Green, but resigned September 1915. He joined Florence Nightingale Lodge No. 706 on 16th November 1903, but in this lodge it shows that post-1918 his dues went unpaid and so was excluded under Rule 175.
