PO/10859 Colour Sergeant Arthur Charles Lemon, Portsmouth Battalion, R.M.L.I.

His familial (and masonic brother of the same lodge) "Herbert Sidney Lemon", was killed at Jutland.

The Royal Marine War Graves Roll shows that he "died from disease" 19th August, 1917, but the death record shows that it was "drowning."

He is recorded as a 27 year old Sergeant aboard H.M.S Egmont. The contribution record, in this case, does not betray a reason why he "Died 19 Aug 1917," but at aged 34 it is certainly younger than would be expected.
