24 year old Clerk from Alston at the time of initiation in 1905. The register shows that he resigned prior to the war commencement on 24th April, 1912. Although recorded in the 1921 Roll of Honour there is not yet any evidence to suggest that William John Little died in the Great War. As his name endures on the 1940 scroll, our investigations continue.
