The 1921 book lists Robert as "READ", but the ledger of Negri Sembilan Lodge No. 3552 list him as the primus Junior Warden, petitioning to consecrate the lodge in January, 1912. The contribution register shows that he is "Killed in Aug 1916." His previous lodge is recorded as Kinta Lodge No. 3212 at Ipoh, Eastern Archipelago.
Again he is called "REID" in Kinta Lodge, listed as a 27 year old Smelting Agent resident at Ipoh. The contribution record of this lodge shows him with war service and "Killed in Action 1916. He is listed a second time and therefore was duplicated on the two rolls of honour.
