In the contribution record of the Lodge of Faith and Unanimity, his war service is shown in the contribution record, but after 2 years of arrears he is excluded under Rule 175a. A big discrepancy against this soldier is his date of birth in the masonic record, which shows him aged 35 in 1917 when he is initiated (but if born in 1893, he would have been 24). His real date of birth is shown against the death certificate - 9th January, 1893.
