Meaning:
"Project" The Masonic Great War Project."Project Team" Those individuals responsible with correlation, collating, administering and posting articles into Databases and onto the Public Internet.
Thank you for visiting the project web site. The Project Team are in the same mind of promoting understanding and information surrounding individuals who were Freemasons and lost their life in the Great War, also known as World War One or abbreviated to WW1 and supports any UK and/or International law with respect to privacy. In support of this activity, the project team, with regards to this website that, will occasionally collect personal information from any willing submittor. We do not collect this type of information without the voluntary consent of the site visitor.
The main purpose of this policy, however, is to inform our visitors that you have rights under the Privacy Act, that all information provided to the project is on a voluntary basis, and that information provided will be protected to the extent permitted by any current Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act. At each location where information is collected, we make every effort to explain explicitly how the information you provide will be used, and we will attempt to allow you to determine if you consent to provide such information.

This information will be assessed and may be posted, however, personal information relating to living individuals will only be placed on the website with consent. Generally, this would be as a "Source" notation but will be the minimum required. Information which can identify you personally and permit means of electronic communication will not be placed on the site unless it is already publicly accessible. Any such information may be kept in Databases for means of future contact and queries.

Unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to our website, is strictly prohibited and may be punishable under applicable UK or International law. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this project computer system may employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to the information on our Web sites. Unauthorised attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Acts.
